An electrophone is an instrument that uses electrical energy to produce sound. One sub-type is electro-acoustic instruments, which are acoustic instruments enhanced with some form of electronic amplification. How would you build your own unique electro-acoustic instrument? In this installation, Àlex Rigol shows us how he did it.
Put on your earphones and discover how each instrument produces its own sound, which can be explored individually or in pairs, providing for a personalised, immersive experience. Audience members can adjust the sound in real time using effect pedals to alter its texture and unlock new expressive possibilities. Every action has a unique consequence in an example of the link between chaos and creativity. Listen carefully: this soundscape is constantly evolving!
