Dance and music show
A choreographer who is a touchstone for exploring the latest forms of flamenco presents Postablao, an encounter between dance and music artists in an improvisational format. They interact within altered tablao structures, where the transformation of traditional formats opens up new creative possibilities: from projecting artistic films of cantaores and cantaoras to using an electronic synthesiser in place of a guitar.
In Postablao, flamenco, cante, music and baile become elastic and ever-changing. Juan Carlos Lérida is one of the leading figures in avant-garde flamenco. He curated the Flamenco Empírico series at Mercat de les Flors until 2009 and is currently the director of the Flamenco Festival at Tanzhaus (Düsseldorf).
A performance directed by Juan Carlos Leirida, featuring Janet Novás (dance), François Ceccaldi (guitar), El Pirata (flamenco singer), and surprise guest artists.
