Antònia Font

Gira Per Teatres

Teatre Grec   18/07 - 19/07

After their last on-stage tour, the Mallorcan band began to offer a series of intimate concerts in theatres, but they’re making an exception in Barcelona with their début at the festival’s most iconic venue.

Many fans of this Mallorcan band led by Joan Miquel Oliver were saddened in 2012 when, after releasing Vostè és aquí, probably their most experimental album to date, they announced that they would be separating indefinitely. Fortunately, they accepted an invitation to return to the stage for a concert at the Primavera Sound Festival in 2021. Since then they’ve been on the road with a tour confirming that they’re back. However, the tour has been a bit of a let-down for Oliver, Manresa, the Debon brothers and the rest of the band, who since January have been presenting the album they released in 2022, Un minut estroboscòpica [A Stroboscopic Minute], which has led them to show their more intimate side in small concerts in theatres and closed venues. So they’re making an exception in Barcelona, playing for the first time at the Teatre Grec, a huge stage that is sure to be filled with fans of their poetic Mediterranean pop, rock and folk. The tracks on the new album confirm that Antònia Font continues to produce songs of outstanding literary quality, with music and lyrics treated with extraordinary sensitivity. Mediterranean magic on a summer’s night on Montjuïc.

Produced by Antònia Font.
