Discover Barcelona’s Summer Festival: GREC

Audience attending a show at the Teatre Grec amphitheater

Get an exclusive look at the lineup for the Barcelona Grec Festival 2024 with event director, Cesc Casadesús.

The 48th Barcelona Grec Festival, one of Europe’s leading festivals, will be taking place from 26 June to 4 August in some fifty-venues across the city, featuring international shows, the best of local talent, and one-of-a-kind experiences.

The theme of this year’s Grec Festival is friendship, with artists inviting other artists, people attending shows with their friends, and relationships potentially being formed in the audience that will be the start of new shared stories. Alongside a top-class international lineup, with a strong female presence, you’ll find artists who represent a generation of Barcelona talent and an inspiration for new generations.

Seize this unique opportunity to get to know the Grec Festival firsthand, led by its director, at its most iconic central venue: the open-air amphitheater, the Teatre Grec, built on the mountain of Montjuïc for the 1929 Universal Expo.

The event will conclude with drinks at the terrace of the Teatre Lliure.
