Barcelona has a network of fast buses that allow you to travel around the city with speed and convenience and easily combine it with other modes of public transport, so that you can make 90% of journeys with a maximum of one change.
This network also connects the urban core with the city limits and improves mobility between Barcelona and the neighbouring municipalities. It is sustainable and efficient, in both environmental and economic terms. It guarantees that 95% of the population has a high-speed bus service less than 300 metres from home.
The high-speed bus network is the result of a wide-reaching political and social consensus and has included specific working groups (Mobility Pact, Council for the Elderly, etc.) and open information and debate sessions in all the districts of the city. Since 2017, this has been accompanied by the digital participation platform decidim.barcelona.
From 2012 until the fall of 2018, the orthogonal network was progressively implemented in the city with the lines: D20, H6, H12, V7, V21, H8, H10, H16, V3, V17, H14, V15, V27, H4, V11, V13, D40, V5, V29, V31, D50, V9, V33, H2, V1, V19, V23 and the V25
