On the occasion of 175th anniversary of the Gran Teatre del Liceu , the sculpture 'Muse of Music (Terpsícore)', by Venanci Vallmitjana i Barbany (1902-1903), is on display in the Aparador del Pati. The sculpture represents Terpsichore, one of the nine muses of Greek mythology, protective divinities of music, song and dance.
