Documentary funds
The Museum's collection of written materials is in the process of being classified, inventoried and digitized. At the end of 2014, the registration and inventory of the first documentation of the correspondence received from the Frederic Marès fund began. This process culminated in 2018 with the dissemination of the online catalog of more than 4,000 letters of the correspondence received from Frederic Marès with the institutions.
The Frederic Marès personal collection constitutes the original core of all the Museum's documentary materials, and at the same time the most extensive and diverse. It consists of personal documentation, correspondence, different academic funds and other personal and family funds such as that of the writer and cartoonist Eveli Bulbena (1888-1960) and that of the journalist Conrad Roure (1841-1928).
We also preserve the collection of Dolors Farró (1948-1998), former director of the Frederic Marès Museum, and the family collections of the sculptors Antoni Ramon González and Ermenter Vélez Valls and Concepció Vélez Serra.
The Documentation and Research Center has completed part of the digitization project of the Frederic Marès personal collection and presents the online catalog with more than 4,000 letters of the correspondence received from Frederic Marès with the institutions.
