The Frederic Marès Museum proposes, under the title The political object and collecting , an itinerary for the permanent exhibition through 16 outstanding objects in some of the rooms of the Collector's Cabinet. This selection allows us to explain the politicization of the objects of everyday life during the first half of the 19th century in Catalonia, immersed in the struggle between the liberal revolutionary culture and the Carlist reaction

Press release: GUESTS AND HOSTS. Artistic dialogues at the Frederic Marès Museum
Guests and hosts is a program of the Frederic Marès Museum and the association Galeries d'Art de Catalunya, which consists of the exhibition of three works of art from three galleries, which are exhibited from March 13 to June 20 in the Museum's permanent exhibition rooms. The program, curated by the journalist and art critic Montse Frisach, proposes a transversal and timeless dialogue between some works and rooms of the Museum and the three guest pieces, which the public will encounter throughout their visit.
