Network of Art Museums of Catalonia
The Network of Art Museums of Catalonia is an organization established on October 16, 2014 that brings together several museums with the aim of facilitating common policies for the protection, research and knowledge of heritage. It also deals with the training of professionals and makes it possible to carry out joint projects between all the members that make up it.
The National Art Museum of Catalonia, as the country's reference museum institution, coordinates this thematic network that articulates the territory's art museums in a common collaboration strategy.
The actions to be carried out will be defined through programs that will be approved annually and will be governed by a unitary policy, while respecting the diversity of each of the museums that make up the network.
These programs will affect, among others, professional practices and activities and services; in the documentation and conservation of the collections and in dissemination campaigns through the websites of the signatory institutions, with the aim of achieving a greater social, scientific and tourist projection among all the museums that make up the Network.
