In addition to the name change, one of the novelties compared to a year ago is the inclusion in the event of the Photographic Archive of Barcelona and the Museum of Archeology of Catalonia. In total there will be seventeen centers that will offer guided and commented tours. The activity, recommended for ages 12 and up, will allow you to discover spaces such as the Font de Mercuri by Alexander Calder at the Joan Miró Foundation, or the preventive conservation and restoration laboratory at the Natural Sciences Museum of Barcelona - Castell dels Tres Dragons.
Each center schedules different visiting hours and, in many cases, also several options and spaces to get to know.
As for the Frederic Marès Museum , will offer a guided tour that will take you through the rooms of a museum that houses one of the city's best art collections, where the Museum's professionals will explain their day-to-day internal tasks related to the conservation, research and documentation of the collections . In this itinerary through the rooms, they will explain the conservation and restoration processes; you will be able to find out how the collections are documented and how all the knowledge of the works is fixed in the museum's database and, finally, you will know what the Documentation and Research Center consists of, what type of documents it looks after and what applications its consultation has.
