Bibliographic and documentary collection collected by the writer and cartoonist Eveli Bulbena, basically related to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity and the Dance of Death. It also consists of personal and family documents and is currently in the inventory process. As a result of a testamentary bequest, it entered the Museum in 1963. It was preserved by Frederic Marès i Deulovol, creator and director of the Museum until the year of his death, in 1991. From 1996, when its Studio-library was opened to the public, the documentation was moved to the Museum's internal services space, located on the basement floor, where the Documentation and Research Center is currently located.
Eveli Bulbena and Strange (Barcelona, 1888-1960) was a writer and cartoonist, son of Ricard Bulbena i Tusell and Maria Lluïsa Estrany, and nephew of Antoni Bulbena (1854-1946). Without offspring, with a conservative mentality and deeply religious, he was an active member and president of the Associació de Pessebristes de Barcelona. In his works he worked on the Nativity theme and also published books of poems. He is the author, among other titles, of the biographical work Ramón Amadeu, Catalan imaginary master of the XVIII-XIX centuries. Barcelona 1927. Eveli Bulbena's photographic collection entered the Historical Archive of the City of Barcelona, today in the Photographic Archive, which contains a series of photographs of Nativity figures by Ramon Amadeu. On the other hand, he was also interested in the subject of the Holy Trinity and the Dance of Death.
