The Barcelona City Council is implementing new policies to deal with the climate emergency. It has a road map, the Climate Plan , with which he wants to adapt to this new situation and mitigate its effects, in order to protect in this way the health and well-being of all citizens, especially the most vulnerable groups, people who either because of their socio-economic situation or because of their condition, health or age suffer more directly from the effects of the heat.
The climate shelters they are a key tool within this strategy. These spaces, among which is the Frederic Marès Museum , offer environments comfortable and accessible , to protect themselves from the heat during the summer or the cold during the winter, to those people who do not have the necessary thermal conditions at home. In this way, the Museum has two spaces that will provide thermal comfort to the population: the inquiry point and the yard , which can usually be accessed for free during opening days.
