From the typical to the topical. The comb in Valencian clothing value  the pint as a fundamental element in traditional Valencian clothing . The exhibition presents a journey through the history of this piece, analyzing its formal evolution, its materials and decorative motifs, the silversmiths who created them and the women who wore them.

This exhibition project has more than 165 pieces including combs, jewellery, ceramics and clothing and is the result of rigorous research on the comb and its evolution within Valencian clothing. It has copies of 18th and 19th centuries coming both from the museum's own funds, as well as from numerous private collections and public institutions. The pieces are presented alongside archival documentation and contemporary art-historical elements that help contextualize them.
