TRANSFORM Readings of the transformation of the Frederic Marès Museum
The TRANS·FORMARE project. Readings from the transformation of the Frederic Marès Museum brings together the experience of eight artists linked to the Confluencias team [The Crossing Lab] of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona, who during this period of transformation (2009-2011) have visited the rooms of a museum in transit.
During these special circumstances, the works, protagonists of the museum, lacking their usual aura and exhibition rigor, have allowed an unusual closeness and cordiality.
Through various artistic techniques and different personal poetics, these imagers have taken advantage of the privacy granted to, despite the coverage of veiled wrappings, discover characters with their own life and history. In this way, they bring new interpretations and perspectives to the museum visit.
