London Bar

C Nou de la Rambla, 34

Located on C/ Nou de la Rambla, London Bar first opened in 1910. A place of pilgrimage for artists such as Dalí, Picasso and Antonio Gades, it is one of Barcelona’s unique gems and a bar that has managed to keep its identity all these years. Today you can have a drink enjoying the vintage atmosphere to the rhythm of a jazz or blues concert.

A historical bar

Here is an establishment in the heart of the Raval which, though well into the 21st century, appears to have stepped out of the 1920s, with a trapeze hanging from the ceiling that draws the attention of every passer-by: it is the iconic London Bar, which for more than a century has been a meeting point de rigueur for all lovers of music and art.

Quintessentially bohemian, the bar opened in 1910, a fact testified to by the Modernista decoration. Many illustrious names, such as Dalí, Picasso and the great Circ Raluy family were habitual customers of this prestigious and unusually genuine bar.

The best in live music

The London Bar has become a favoured spot of tourists looking for Barcelona’s more authentic hidden corners. This is why each night the London mixes visitors and locals who get together to listen to live rock, blues or jazz
