Dagoll Dagom's big night

50 years of emotions, 50 years of songs

Teatre Grec   11/07 - 13/07

As they celebrate their 50th anniversary, a prominent company on the Catalan musical theatre scene revisits the past in a huge concert that retaces their career. It kicks off the celebrations for the closure of the company.

Antaviana, Nit de Sant Joan, Glups!!, El Mikado, Flor de Nit, Els Pirates, Mar i Cel...  For many, scrolling through Dagoll Dagom’s hits is tantamount to scrolling through their own lives. This should come as no surprise, given that this artistic collective created by Joan Ollé in 1974 has a history that is reaching its 50th anniversary, and its final farewell to the stage. It's a good time for the company to feel the love and feature in a huge concert with the Original SoundTrack Orchestra, made up of 41 musicians and a choir of 20 singers, along with a group of 26 artists who have worked with the company over the years. The actor, singer and director Daniel Anglès is directing the soirée, which will feature the music and performances of the most famous songs in Dagoll Dagom’s history. With Joan Vives as musical director and a choreography by Ariadna Peya.

The familiar, expected repertoire of Dagoll Dagom songs, contextualised with posters, sets and costumes, will be complemented with a peek forward, with the presentation of Blanca and Saïd, future performers in the new production of Mar i Cel which will première in September 2024. The company’s directing team, made up of Joan Lluís Bozzo, Anna Rosa Cisquella and Miquel Periel since 1977, will be the hosts. It is a date with the recent history of Catalan musical theatre

Co-produced by Grec 2024 Festival de Barcelona and Dagoll Dagom
