More than 70 exhibitors will take part in Barcelona International Community Day

This figure is a milestone for Barcelona International Community Day, in a context that is still difficult and rife with uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The participation of such a large number of exhibitors confirms the prominence this fair has among the city's international community.

Barcelona International Community Day will have a fair area with more than 70 exhibitors, to be distributed in stands and information points. After the Covid-19 pandemic forced the last edition to be held online, this year the fair will once again be held face-to-face, on 23rd October at the Maritime Museum. Admission will be free and tickets can be obtained at event website.

35 private companies will be there; 15 public institutions and bodies; 12 non-profit associations, such as expatriate clubs, social and trade-based associations; and 5 international schools.

Barcelona International Community Day consolidates its role as the main welcome and networking space for all those who have chosen the city to live and work in. It will be a meeting point for the ecosystem of international talent and the entire international community of Barcelona. It will inform the international community of the resources and possibilities the city has to offer in order to make their arrival and integration easy so they can develop their full potential and become new Barcelonans.

Active participation of exhibitors in the activities

The exhibitors this year at the Barcelona International Community Day cover a wide spectrum. Companies, institutions and bodies related to financial, real estate and medical services, as well as cultural, food and beverage and sports services will take part. The fair offers an opportunity for all of these groups to be able to get to know each other and talk about their services, products and activities among the attendees.

A large number of these exhibitors also collaborate and actively participate in the activities that will take place at the fair, either leading information sessions and workshops, or participating in round tables as experts.

New exhibitors

Among the exhibitors who will take part in this year’s Barcelona International Community Day will be the Consorci de Normalització Lingüística, a consortium of public bodies that promotes the knowledge, use and spread of the Catalan language; the Confucius Institute, dedicated to disseminating the Chinese language and culture; Barcelona Accueil, a non-profit association that welcomes, informs and helps all French-speakers and French nationals who come to live in Barcelona; InterNations, a community for ex-pats; and Barcelona Digital Talent, a programme that promotes the ‘reskilling’ of professionals in digital skills.

Also at the fair for the first time will be Consorci de Sanitat de Barcelona, a healthcare consortium whose stand will be providing information about access to Covid-19 vaccination. They will set up a vaccination point for foreigners who do not yet have a health card from the Catalan Health System, where they can get information and be vaccinated, if they wish.

The city’s police force and fire brigade will also take part to explain the rules of good citizenship and offer advice on public safety and prevention to attendees.
