Barcelona for Climate

This call for subsidy applications is aimed at encouraging projects that promote the fight against the climate crisis and which provide solutions for achieving the goals established under the Climate Plan and the Climate Emergency Declaration.

The aim is to increase the general public's involvement and provide support for collective actions, especially in the most innovative initiatives. One of its main features is the use of co-creation processes with various organisations.

The framework that regulates these subsidies is the general system for awarding subsidies on a competitive basis. It should be noted that, for the purposes of applying for subsidies, the projects must be made up of a minimum of three legal entities. This means that they are group projects, although a single representative must be defined and the project led by an organisation that is a member of the More Sustainable Barcelona network.

The maximum amount of the subsidy shall be 80% of the cost of the project, up to a maximum of 20,000 euros, and the project must be implemented within a maximum period of 12 months.

When it comes to evaluating the proposals, the following factors will be taken into account: the number of members in the group; the goals pursued by the project; the planned management and organisation of the project and the actions aimed to be achieved. Furthermore, other factors to be taken into account will include the project's associated greening strategy, planned communication and contribution to the work lines set out under the Climate Plan and the Climate Emergency Declaration.
