Circ’Hulon and Boris Ribas

Circus
For all audiences
Boris Ribas (Brazil), Lucia Pennini (Italy) and Antoine Hulon (France) were the first artists from Pallassos sense Fronteres to go to the border between Poland and Ukraine, three weeks after the war broke out. Through a combination of clowning and high quality circus, they’ll be showing spectators in Barcelona the work they took to the refugee halls and centres in various Polish cities, to provide support for people caught up in this terrible episode.
Unusually versatile, Boris Ribas is an artist specialising in the trapeze, but also trained in many other circus techniques. A regular collaborator with Tortell Poltrona (eight years working with Circ Cric), he had taken part in PSF expeditions in Congo, Iraq, Sierra Leone and Lebanon, before visiting Poland. Boris has a motto: “Circus is a game of cooperation; me, with you, for them. There’s no competition!”; because of this, on this occasion he’ll be collaborating with the two members of the famous Circ’Hulon, Lucia who learnt music, theatre and knife-throwing with Circ Cric, and Antoine, juggler, acrobat, musician and clown, the second generation of the Hulons’ circus.
