    A park of parks

    The parks, the roads and the woods of Montjuïc are natural reserves in the city. The Biodiversity Atlas has 739 plant species identified in Montjuïc and the Poble-sec, and 288 tree species, including 24 specimens cataloged as trees of local interest. In the mountain 61 species of birds nest and you can finde 27 different species of butterflies. Identify them on this webpage and encourage yourself to discover them!

    Jardins de Mossèn Costa i Llobera

    Directly exposed to sea breezes, this port-facing side of the mountain is home to one of the most important collections of cacti and succulent plants in the world.

    What for over 30 years was Montjuïc Amusement Park is today a large green space covered with lush Mediterranean vegetation.

    Jardins de Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer

    Metro, bus, funicular and cable car, as well as taxis and private vehicles, facilitate mobility through Montjuïc Park and provide access to all its gardens, services and cultural, sports and leisure facilities.     Find out about Montjuïc Park Council

    Since 2014, all public and private operators working on Montjuïc mountain have been holding Park Council meetings to coordinate lines of action. They monitor and ensure fulfilment of the goals stipulated in the Montjuïc Action Plan for 2019-2029 through full council or standing committee meetings.
