Recommended for audiences aged 8 and above
YOU: you. GUR: A survival instinct that leads to an obsession for carrying things on one’s back. In YouGur, the great Carlo Mô bursts into Parc de Joan Miró carrying a wall on his back... There is no apparent reason for this effort, but that doesn’t stop him and he goes about picking up everything he finds on his way, with the strange and unique uselessness of storing it all.
YouGur is a gestural humour street show, with the personal style and approach that characterise Carlo Mô. Trained as a actor and later as a clown, Mô is one of the most personal and admired clowns on the Catalan scene. Through the language of gestures, he transmits everything he wants to say to an unconditional audience, who have been following him for more than two decades. Mô’s humour is also accessible to children, who connect directly and naturally with the absurd universe that the artist constructs in his shows.
Another great clown, Leandre Ribera, directs Carlo Mô in YouGur, a simple yet effective proposal that is physical and at the same time poetic, which will perhaps make us think about all the things we also carry about with us, often for no reason.
