The works to install all these new smart traffic signal elements will be carried out from 18 March to 31 May, with interventions mainly affecting the pavements but with eight stages that will affect the mobility of vehicles:

  1. Crossing on Passeig Olímpic by the pedestrian crossing between the Palau Sant Jordi and the Pau Negre municipal sports centre: Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 March one of the two lanes will be closed, with traffic travelling in both directions alternating use of the remaining lane with the support of signalmen. On one of the two days the stop for boarding bus 13 (no. 2565) will be moved forwards so it is not in the affected stretch of road. On Tuesday 26 March, the access road to the Palau Sant Jordi will also be closed, alternating passage with the regulation by signalmen.
  2. Crossing at the exit road on Carrer dels Jocs del 92 towards Avinguda de l’Estadi (mountain-bound side): Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 March, traffic will exit via the entrance on the opposite side of Avinguda de l’Estadi, with traffic travelling in both directions alternating use of the road with the support of signalmen.
  3. Crossing on Avinguda de l’Estadi by the pedestrian crossing found next to the cauldron of the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, just before the right turn towards Passeig Olímpic: Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 April, one of the two lanes will be closed, with traffic travelling in both directions alternating use of the remaining lane with the support of traffic signalmen. The 150 bus stop heading downhill (no. 346), and other buses turning into Passeig Olímpic will be regulated with the support of signalmen. The stopping point of the Bus Turístic will be moved.
  4. Wednesday 3, Thursday 4 and Friday 5 April, alternating closure of the roads for entering Passeig Olímpic from Avinguda de l’Estadi, and the Passeig Olímpic exit road: vehicles will enter and exit using the roads that are not closed on each day, with the support of signalmen. The route of bus 55 will be extended to the junction with Carrer dels Jocs del 92 so it can turn around at the roundabout.
  5. Double crossing on Passeig Olímpic, by the first and the second entry to Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys: Monday 8 and Tuesday, one of the two lanes will be closed, with traffic travelling in both directions alternating use of the remaining lane with the support of traffic signalmen.
  6. Crossing on Avinguda de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia by the pedestrian crossing found just before the entrance to Poble Espanyol: Thursday 10 and Friday 11 April, one of the two lanes will be closed, with traffic travelling in both directions alternating use of the remaining lane with the support of signalmen. The Bus Turístic will be able to turn around in Plaça de Sant Jordi, if it is not able to do so at the entrance to Poble Espanyol.
  7. Crossing on Avinguda de l’Estadi by the pedestrian crossing found heading uphill just past the junction with Passeig Olímpic: Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 April, one of the two lanes will be closed, with traffic travelling in both directions alternating use of the remaining lane with the support of signalmen.
  8. Crossing on Avinguda de Miramar by the pedestrian crossing at the entrance to the Joan Miró Foundation: Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 April, one of the two lanes will be closed, with traffic travelling in both directions alternating use of the remaining lane with the support of signalmen. Stop number 654 for buses 55 and 150 will be moved, along with the Bus Turístic stop.
  9. Resurfacing of all the above crossings: Thursday 25 and Friday 26 April all the above mentioned closures will be repeated at some point, with traffic travelling in both directions alternating use of the remaining lanes with the support of traffic signalmen.
